Terrence J. Madden
Practice Areas:
Terrence J. Madden is an experienced litigator who has represented companies and individuals in dozens of trials and appeals since his admission to practice in 1973. After clerking for an Illinois Supreme Court judge following law school graduation, Terry entered private practice in 1974. A substantial part of Terry’s practice for more than 25 years has been representing physicians, chiropractors and other health professionals in medical malpractice litigation at the trial and appellate level. He has tried numerous cases to verdict and has argued numerous appeals involving medical malpractice cases. Because of his appellate background, Terry has been in charge of the appellate practice sections at Bryce Downey & Lenkov and at prior firms. His trials and cases include product liability cases, commercial litigation cases, defamation cases and a wide variety of personal injury and property damage claims. A significant part of Terry’s practice is insurance coverage litigation. He regularly provides the firm’s insurance clients with advice and opinions on a wide variety of coverage issues, and he is actively involved in the litigation of insurance coverage issues at the trial and appellate levels.
